Open “C” Channel trailer construction.
Rust is enemy no. 1, and any closed RHS steel tube at some point in time will be subjected to corrosion from the inside. (unless the trailer owner is absolutely anal about maintenance). Most people are time poor, and proper maintenance is often neglected. Mackay produce an open tube trailer utilizing “C” Channel on its main chassis rails. The “C” Channel is open, thus no water can accumulate. The chassis beam are easily maintained and are quick to dry. If problems do arise, then these are clearly visible.
